Checklist · Before delivery

What to check before cargo goes to the warehouse

Before cargo is delivered, confirm that the list, the space and the plan agree: packed sizes and weights, the real limits of the equipment, and anything not placed. A 3D proposal brings those questions up while the plan can still change.

01 · The checklist

Before you confirm delivery.

  • The list is final. Packed sizes and weights are measured, not estimated.
  • The equipment is confirmed. Inside size, door and weight limit come from whoever operates it.
  • Handling is agreed. What is fragile, what stays upright, what can be stacked.
  • Everything is placed, or each piece left out has an owner and a decision.
  • Physical checks have an owner. Stack strength, restraint and floor loading are not settled by a drawing.
  • The next party has the plan. The warehouse and the carrier know what is proposed and what is still open.

02 · In practice

Use the plan as the agenda.

Project X, the fictional example, proposes five cargo types across six sloped spaces, with all 164 pieces placed. Sent as a read-only link, it lets the warehouse open a position, see what is inside it and light up one cargo line, without an account.

03 · Be plain about the limits

A plan shows what could fit. It does not promise it.

CargoLab works from the numbers it is given. It does not check the door, the handling equipment, restraint or the state of the cargo on the day. Say what is confirmed and what is not, and choose the format that suits the next person.
